We organize free and informal Lithuanian learning sessions and other activities related to Lithuanian language and culture. Stay motivated, have fun and make new connections. All events are completely free and open for everyone and will stay this way. These events are only possible due to volunteers, so write us if you are interested to work with us.
Our club "Kalba Kartu" is focused on helping people practice Lithuanian and get motivated to keep learning. The focus during meetings is on practicing speaking but we also help with language exams, exercises, homework and can help with recommendations of educational materials. We strongly encourage you to continue your language learning using other methods as well, whether it's self-learning, courses or with teachers. We are not a course and we aren't funded by any program, just group of volunteers willing to help other people.
All levels welcome, including complete beginners with zero Lithuanian.

Kalba Kartu was founded in October 2025 by Andrew Skrypnyk (a Ukrainian who has been living in Lithuania since 2017) and Barbora Sharrock (a returnee diaspora Lithuanian from New Zealand). The initiative grew from their own desire to learn Lithuanian and the lack of accessible options for migrants. Starting with small gatherings at the Martynas Mažvydas National Library, the community moved to MiCenter, then expanded to Caritas and Adomas Mickevičius Library. Today the community continues to grow, bringing together people from all backgrounds who share a love for the Lithuanian language and culture.
